Book — A Guide to Disciplined Curiosity

What Am I Missing?

Excerpt

This isn't a book about changing your mind. It isn't a book about me telling you what to think. It's about becoming the kind of person who is capable of changing their mind when reality reveals something they didn't see. Some of these conversations took decades for me to learn. Some I'm still learning. My only request is this: Don't read this book looking for agreement. Read it looking for one honest question you hadn't considered before.

From the author

I have never wanted anyone to think like me. I've wanted something far more meaningful — I've wanted people to think more deeply for themselves. The conversations people remembered weren't the ones where I had the perfect answer. They were the conversations where they left having discovered something for themselves. This book isn't a collection of conclusions. It's an invitation into the kinds of conversations that have shaped my own thinking for as long as I can remember. The stories you'll find in these pages happened to me. The discoveries they revealed no longer belong solely to me.
